…are pretty freakin’ busy.  Next week’s Annual Meeting starts off a season that’s packed with all sorts of cool stuff.  So without further ado, here’s the schedule for the coming weeks:

Trail Work Wednesdays are back for 2016

Trail Work Wednesdays are back for 2016

Wednesday April 13, our first Trail Work Wednesday of the year.  Last year’s early season rain was a great catalyst to get us out there on the trails prepping for the season ahead so we’re continuing the tradition for 2016.  We’ll meet at the Cady Hill Forest Parking lot at 5:30, grab tools and hit the trails till dark.

More routine maintenance (as opposed to just one or two really big work days a year) did wonders for the trails.  So block out a few Wednesdays to come get some dirt under those nails.

annualmeetingThursday April 7: SMBC Annual Meeting.  6 – 7:30 p.m. Golden Eagle Resort Conference Center, second floor.  We’ll sum up 2015’s accomplishments, talk about the 2016 Strategic Plan, eat some cookies, and then open up the floor.

Got something to say?  We want to hear it.

2016 SMBC Spring Kickoff Party

2016 Spring Trail Work Day: May 14

2016 Spring Trail Work Day: May 14

Saturday May 14, SMBC Spring Trail Work Day.  Is it a work day or a party?  Yes is the answer.  Under the guidance of Stowe trails guru Hardy Avery, we’ll head out from Stowe Bowl at 9 a.m.(ish) to get the trails buffed out for the season.  There are some pretty big projects that we need to tackle and as they say, many hands make light work.  The good peeps at Stowe Bowl/Sun & Ski Inn are playing host for the day, allowing us to use their parking lot as an a.m. staging area, and a p.m. party area.  Starting around 2 p.m., we’ll have a cook out on the back lawn, right along the river.  Music, delicious victuals, good brew, and all your riding buddies.  Not to be missed.

So that’s what’s up for the next few weeks.  A couple of other important dates to keep on your radar:

June 10 – 12: The third annual Bikes Bevs and Beats Festival.  This year’s B3 is going to be a rad, with more events, bigger prizes, and more group rides: https://www.facebook.com/events/1053882904685236/

June 17 – 19: NEMBA Fest, Kingdom Trails, East Burke, Vermont: http://www.nembafest.com/
