von Trapp Brewing and Stowe Trails Partnership are pleased to announce the release of Stowe Trails Partnership India Pale Lager. Farrell Distributing and von Trapp Brewing will donate $1.00 per 4-pack sold that will support the long-term goal of building single-track connections between the town of Stowe and Trapp Family Lodge’s mountain bike trail networks and beyond. This Partnership India Pale Lager (ABV 5.5%) combines a floral hop experience with the complexity of their lager. Available now at the von Trapp Bierhall, and throughout Vermont over the coming weeks!
von Trapp Brewing’s Austrian-Style beers are brewed with pure Vermont spring water sourced from their property in Stowe, Vermont and the finest traditional ingredients. Following the family heritage, the brewery incorporates the German Beer Purity Laws, “Reinheitsgebot,” while crafting their unique lagers. In spring of 2015, the 36,000-square-foot brewery began packaging four year-round lagers; Golden Helles, Bohemian Pilsner, Dunkel, and Vienna Style. They also feature four seasonal lagers – Oktoberfest, Trösten, Weissbier, and Kölsch Style. The core and seasonal beers are complemented by the Specialty Series which include Bock Bier, Hoppy Marzen, and Double India Pale Lager.
The Trapp Family Lodge’s 2,600 acres features an extensive mountain bike trail network with two skills parks. Ride their eight miles of expert and intermediate single track, or more than 20 miles of double track through mountains, fields and forests that connects right into the Stowe Trail Partnership’s network. Ride Hop Over or Lager Lane to the von Trapp Brewery Bierhall – the best trailhead in Vermont!
The on-site Bierhall restaurant is a great place to start and end your next bike ride in Stowe with the Hop Over trail leaving directly from the parking lot and connecting into the Stowe Trails Partnership network. The Bierhall is a gathering place for friends to enjoy “A little of Austria, a lot of Vermont,” serving fresh lager beers and a selection of freshly prepared Austrian lunch and dinner selections.
The Stowe Trails Partnership is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that manages and maintains approximately 35 miles of multi-use trails on public and private land throughout Stowe. Working with the town of Stowe, partners such as the von Trapp Brewery, local businesses and organizations and through community outreach, their goal is to expand trail access and continue cultivating one of the finest mountain bike trail networks in the northeast.
