Leaf Blower Fall Classic: October 8, 2017

The Stowe Mountain Bike Club, in partnership with Mountain Bike Vermont, is stoked to present Vermont’s favorite mountain bike tradition: the Leaf Blower Fall Classic Mountain Bike Festival. This year’s Leaf Blower is going down on Sunday October 8 and will be based out of Town & Country Resort on Mountain Road. With group rides, vendors, home grown food, and local libations, there is simply no better way to cap off the season than with this one-day celebration of bikes and community.

We’re partnering once again with our friends at MTBVT.com to make the Leaf Blower even better! We’re also working with the Lamoille Community Food Share program to help raise some much needed food donations for those in need — bring a few canned goods to share and spread the love!

As always, the marquee event will be the all-abilities group rides that tackle some of the northeast’s best terrain and afford some of Vermont’s best views—whether you’re a seasoned vet or a new to the MTB game, we have a ride for you (click here to see the ride matrix and here to see the category descriptions, and here to see a full list of rides and ride descriptions). Clinics for beginner and intermediate riders, kids rides, all day endurance rides, and even rec path cruisers, the Leaf Blower has something for everyone. The on-trail snack stops (packed with goodies from a host of local supporters) have achieved near-legendary status so no worries on bonking.  And our friends from Caja Madera Taco Truck will be on site with breakfast burritos to get us fueled up before the big ride.

And after you’ve gotten your share of single track, adjourn back to homebase for a catered cookout, a few local brews, and the requisite telling of tall tales around the camp fire. Your registration covers the rides, snacks, cookout, a beverage, a bag o’ goodies, and an all-new limited edition pair of Stowe Trails riding socks.

Register early because we expect the event to sell out quickly! Early Bird pricing ends Friday 9/22. (And SMBC members get $15 off — check your email for the coupon code!) Day-of registration opens at 8:30 a.m. with the early groups departing at 9:30 a.m., and dinner beginning at 3 p.m. Proceeds from this event go straight back to building and maintaining Stowe’s trails so register early, rest those legs, and get ready for the best day of the year!
