Back by popular demand, Stowe Trails Partnership presents Youth Bike Night! We are very excited to be going into our second season of getting kids on bikes and giving them the opportunity to grow and progress to enjoy this great sport.
A few changes this year: trail ready riders will be operating out of a new location due to limited access to Cady Hill Forest, Ranch Camp Bike Shop (across from Doc Pond’s and adjacent to iRide) located on the Mountain Road. The Little Rippers who are sessioning the Rec Path and other basic trails will still meet at Sushi Yoshi.
Rides will occur Thursday nights (new night) leaving at 6 o’clock throughout the summer. Please show up no later than 5:45 for registration so that rides may start on time with a return time of 7:30pm. Refer to the schedule below for specific dates and rider group descriptions. It all kicks off June 14th and happens bi-weekly through August 23rd with additional Field Trips on various dates.
Ranch Camp Rides
High Rollers – High school aged children that are capable of riding with confidence and enjoy progressing and being challenged by their peers. We look forward to the occasional ride with the likes of Dylan Conte, our local pro rider.
Mid-Rippers – Middle school aged children who are gaining confidence and are comfortable riding all that Cady Hill Forrest has to offer
Groms – 4th & 5th Graders who are just starting to ride trails and gaining comfort with Cady Hill Forrest trails
Parents: these rides can’t happen without you! Sign up here: Click to lead a group at Ranch Camp.
Sushi Yoshi Rides
Little Rippers- Our catchall group for the younger kids with a wide-range of abilities. We realize this means anything from balance bikes to kids already riding trails. Riders will be organized into groups based on age and skills. Our goal is to get the kiddos on singletrack and overall become better riders. Trail leaders are volunteers who are experienced riders (if you want to volunteer please see below). The single most important part is to HAVE FUN! Little Rippers will meet on these dates behind Sushi Yoshi (like last year)
Parents: these rides can’t happen without you! Sign up here: Click to lead a group at Sushi Yoshi. All kids must be supervised by parents or pre-arranged alternative. This is NOT drop-off.
