Stowe Trails is our partners, members, & volunteers, and we need more!

We are currently looking to expand two areas of volunteers to help make the trails better for everyone once we can hit the trail.

Trail Stewards

Do you have a favorite trail or group of trails in the Stowe network?  Do you ride or walk there at least once a week?

Stowe Trails Partnership is looking to increase our eyes and ears for spots that need maintenance throughout town. For this role, the expectation is not for you to do the work for us, but to let us know where the trail needs some work. If you are interested in doing the work on rainy days, great!

STP would then use this information to arrange volunteer workdays or professional repair.

STP has an active need in Cady Hill Forest, Sterling Forest,  & Adams Camp (Hardys).   We would be looking to split up trails in Cady to ensure we have eyes on the whole network and not just Florence  🙂

STP is willing to train interested folks in what to identify or any basic fixes.

If interested in becoming a Trail Steward, please email info@stowetrails.org with the subject line ‘Trail Steward.’

Trail Ambassadors

Do you say hello to everyone you see on the trail?  Are you willing to stop and say hello when it seems like someone is lost?

Stowe Trails Partnership is looking for some folks to be Trail Ambassadors to help make sure everyone is having a good time! The main requirements are a positive attitude and a good knowledge of Stowe’s trails. We’re looking for folks who proactively want to be the face of Stowe and STP out on the trails.

Some first aid or basic mechanical skills are a plus, but not required.
If interested in becoming a Trail Ambassador, please email info@stowetrails.org with the subject line ‘Trail Ambassador.’

If interested in volunteering, and neither of these roles sounds like a perfect fit, let us know! Head over to our Get Involved page for more ways to help!
