Let’s talk 2015 Leaf Blower!
What an amazing day….incredible weather, perfect foliage, great group rides, and of course, delicious food, drink, music and fun at the end. Couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend a Sunday.
This year, we implemented a staggered start so those hardcore riders got out on the trails a bit earlier, this way they had plenty of time to go do their 25+ miles of riding (who are these people?! My goal is to just get to the everyday rider group!). There was a group suitable for everyone – from hardcore to weekend warriors to the rec path rampage, for our future shredders. We also added a beginner’s skills clinic for those folks new to mountain biking, or needing a refresher. After 90 minutes of practice drills, everyone was ready to head out and practice what they learned – and they did. Up through Cady Hill Forest, these newbies hit some technical singletrack and cruised down Flo, having a great time.
The after party was great as usual – amazing food and drink put out by our friends at the Town and Country Resort, music, raffles, games, and the required bonfire.
We couldn’t have put this event on without the help and support of so many people – thank you to all of our volunteers, ride leaders, donors, sponsors and of course, the riders…see you next year!!!
